    Yes, our tours are family-friendly. That said, we also welcome, couples, solo travelers, and everyone looking for a delicious gourmet adventure.

  • 5. What is included in the tour price?

    The tour price generally includes guided tours and tastings. Additional costs, such as transportation, local attractions and optional tips, are excluded unless otherwise stated.

    You can book directly through our website or partner platforms (e.g. Viator & Tripadvisor or GetYourGuide). For a more personalized tour or any specific requests, feel free to contact us via email at tours@sommelierecatarina.com.     We are proud to offer flexible cancellation policies of either 24 or 48 hours, depending on the platform from which our tour is booked. If you need to cancel your tour, please refer to the specific cancellation policy outlined during your booking process.   • 8. Are the tours conducted in multiple languages?

    Yes, Catarina offers tours in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Please specify your preferred language when booking.

  • 10. What if I miss the tour?

    We understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you need to cancel your tour less than 24 or 48 hours before the start time (depending on the conditions applied during booking), the tour is non-refundable. However, we assess each situation on a case-by-case basis and may be able to reschedule your tour for another day, depending on the reason and availability. A rescheduling fee will apply to cover the food and services prepared for the initial date.

  • 11. What if I don't drink alcohol?

    If you don’t drink alcohol, that’s absolutely fine! Just let us know in advance, and Catarina will tailor the experience to your preferences. While our food tours are carefully paired with Portuguese wines, we will accommodate your needs with a selection of local non-alcoholic beverages to ensure you still enjoy a full and delightful tasting experience.

  • 12. How physically demanding are the tours?

    Our tours involve moderate walking, mainly within the city. If you have any mobility concerns, please let us know in advance, and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs. Fun fact: Catarina has successfully led tours for people of all ages, from toddlers to nonagenarians, making sure everyone has a great time exploring Porto!

  • 13. Can I bring my pet on the tour?

    We love pets, but due to the nature of our tours and the venues we visit, pets are not allowed. We appreciate your understanding. Fun fact: Catarina is the proud owner of three little dogs—Olivia, Spencer, and Pequenino (which means "little one" in Portuguese)!

  • 14. What happens in case of bad weather?

    Our tours operate in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately. In the case of severe weather, we will contact you to discuss rescheduling options. If you believe there will be extreme weather on the day of your tour, please let us know at support@sommelierecatarina.com.

    Absolutely! Our tours are private and may accommodate cruise passengers. We can adjust the schedule to ensure you make the most of your time in Porto. Just provide us with your docking and departure times, and we’ll tailor the experience to fit your itinerary. We recommend booking a tour that ends at least 2 hours before your ship departs or closes check-in, giving you plenty of time to return.
